Story #49: Heroes

Heroes

     There are many people in this world with a set of talents, but some have a set of

unique and special abilities. These people hide in fear from the government and of

what they could do to other people with there abilities. Many people believe that there

is something wrong with themselves, Some get lost or lose there way and forget who

they really are. Then there are those rare people that have a thirst for power and will

do extraordinary things to get that power.

     “Claire breakfast is done” Claire’s mother yelled up the stairs.

     “I’m coming” Claire yelled back. Claire came down the stairs and walked into the

kitchen as her mom handed her a plate of blueberry waffles. Claire sat down and

asked “hey, Lyle can you pass me the syrup?”

     “here you go” replied Lyle.

     After Claire was done eating her dad said “Claire lets go, it’s time for school” Claire

responded “coming.” When they got to school Claire got out of the car and walked over

to her cheerleading squad. Claire was dressed in here cheerleading uniform, she was

about five feet eight inches, had blond hair, and blue eyes. She then went to class and

it was just like any other school day. After school she meet up with her friend Zach and

head off to and old construction building cause she wants to show him something.

     They get there and Claire asks “Is the camera rolling?”

     he replies “it is now, why?”

     Claire responds “just watch” Claire climbs the fire escape up to the top of the

building and asks “ready?”

     “I guess” Zach answers. Claire then jumps off of the building and falls 30 feet to the

ground. Zach runs up to Claire’s body on the ground yelling “Claire are you ok?” Claire

then gets up and pops her arm into place and pushes some ribs back inside her. She

looks at the camera and says “This is Claire Bennet and this is attempt number one”

As they are walking home they come across a train crash. there are huge flames

and firemen are trying to put them out. Claire takes off her jacket and runs into the

wreck to see if anyone was left in the train that she could possible save. She saw a

middle aged man coughing. She went over to him and guided him out of the wreck and

out to the firemen. During this her sleeve caught on fire so as she guided the man

away from the wreck one of the firemen came up to here covering her up with his

jacket. The fireman took the jacket off and ripped open the sleeve to see how bad the

burn was, but when he looked there was no burn. There was no sign of injure, there

was nothing. Claire got up and starting sprinting away to go home.
