Story #28: Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning
One early Christmas morning there was a boy and a little girl resting quietly in bed
when next thing you know they heard a big thump! they both went running out to the
living room to find a huge box in the middle of the floor. They suddenly look at each
other.
     “What was that?” said Holly.
     “I don’t know!” exclaimed Kelby.
“Should we open it? asked Holly.
     “Yeah!” expressed Kelby.
As they sat there there opening the box, they heard foot steps coming up the stairs.
They look at each other not knowing what to do.
     “Should we hide?” cried Kelby.
     “I think so!” mumbled Holly.
     “Follow me.” Kelby demanded.
When they heard them coming through the kitchen they snuck around the other way,
As they got to the hall, they took off running and jumped back in bed. Five minutes
passed when suddenly mom walks in the little girls room. The little girls eyes popped
open.
     “Goodmorning honey.” said mom
     “Hi mommy!” replied Holly.
“Do you want to go wake Kel up so you guys can open your presents?” whispered
mom.
     “Yeah!” spoke Holly.
As they walked in Kelby’s room, they seen him laying there peacefully. Mom and holly
walked over to him and tapped on his shoulder. Then, one eye peaked open.
     “Hi sweetie!” giggled mom.
“Hey brother! Let’s go open presents!” yelled Holly.
He sprung out of bed and ran out of him room as fast as lightning. By the time mom
and Holly got outt here he already had two presents opened and his stocking dumped
out. “WAIT!” screamed mom. “I have to set the camera up!” she shouted.
When she finally got it set up, Holly and Kelby finished opening the box that they
started earlier. Mom and dad didn’t even notice the wrapping paper missing off the one
side. When they got it all unwrapped, they noticed they got a new puppy. They started
jumping in joy!
They got the puppy out and played with it before the opened anymore presents.
     “He’s so cute!” commented Holly.
“It’s really hyper too.” said Kelby.
“It’s just excited to see you guys!” mom said.
“How about you guys open your other presents now? stated dad.
As they got back to opening presents, they heard a knock on the door.
“Come in.” yelled mom. It was grandma and grandpa.
“Hi kiddo’s! Merry Christmas!” shouted grandma and grandpa.
“What have you guys got so far?” asked grandma.
“We got a new puppy!” exclaimed Kelby.
“Oh my gosh! It’s so cute!” said grandma.
“Do you guys want to open our presents now?” asked grandpa.
     “Yeah!” the kids yelled.
“Let me go get them out of the truck.” giggled grandpa.
As he came back in, he had two big boxes. As the kids started unwrapping them, they
came to find that they were in another box. Finally after unwrapping six boxes, they
opened the last one to find a fifty dollar bill in it!
“Thanks grandma and grandpa!” the kids shouted.

     “Your welcome guys!” they exclaimed!
